  • Welche Farbe????

    Der oben rechts sollte eigentlich der gleiche sein wie links laut Farbe, mir gefällt der rechts auch besser aber villeicht ist es nur das licht?

    aber warum fragst du andere wie du deinen mini lackieren sollst, liegt doch imer im auge des betrachters, und grade deswegen würde ich das nehmen was DIR am besten gefällt, da du ihn ja am meisten siehtst ;)

    Ne schwarz will ich nicht weil die Innenaustattung schon schwarz ist.

    racing green ist zwar schön aber in meiner gegend gibts das so oft...

    mir gefallen die 3 Farben eigentlich gut und ich kann mich halt nicht wirklich entscheiden und andere farben hab ich deswegen genommen weil es vileicht doch noch Farben gibt die ich noch nicht kenne oder an die ich noch nicht gedacht habe.

  • Projekt Hawk Stewart and Ardern (viele Bilder)

    So jetzt hab ich das gemacht wovor ich am meisten Angst hatte, die Türen eingebaut... und es passt alles. Ein grund mal in den Kofferaum zu greifen.... :D ;)

    Hier sieht man wie arg der hersteller auf details geachtet hat.

    Ja der graue rahmen ist ausnahmsweiße aus Stahl, weil dort auch die Türschaniere festgeschraubt werden, soll ja alles gut halten.

    Hmmmm... Hab auch nen gekürzten im Mini gehabt, als ich ihn bekommen hab...
    Aber ich fands nich soo toll... Vorallem aber wegen dem Aufgeklebten Alu-Geraffel pseudo-Sport-Schaltknauf :o

    Hab jetzt nen originalen verchomten vom Cooper bzw. Inno 1001 drinn. :)

    Ich hatte den mal im SPI aber da kam ich fast nicht hin..... da war er nich soo toll

    Im Sprint brauch ich den weil die Sitze Tief sind, allerdings komm ich jetzt schon nicht an den normalen weil die Sitze zu weit hinten sind.....

    Der 850/100 inno hatte ne Tankanzeige im ei, aber such mal bei ebay da findet man alles was man braucht lass aber das Mini weg such einfach nur benzinanzeige und evtl den durchmesser, kann ja auch einer von einem Benz sein wenns passt.....

    Hier mal ein auszug aus Google Groups

    This was the 'Stewart and Arden', manufactured by Hawk Cars.
    It is/was a fibreglass shelled version of the 'cut-and-shut' Minisprint,
    so was a kit car replica of the original sixties vehicle.
    Gerry Hawkridge put a lot of time and effort (and money) into creating
    this kit project, with agreement from the manufacturers of the original
    car to use their name in badging the kit. (Stewart + Arden made the
    Minisprint from original - metal - minis). The kit got good reviews and
    gained a lot of interest in a short space of time.
    Unfortunately, BMW - who now own the Rover Group (nee British Leyland) -
    decided to call in the lawyers over any company that may be viewed as
    trading with registered marks owned by them. Many companies received
    solicitors letters on this basis. Gerry was none too pleased at this, as
    he had legal direction indicating that he could manufacture this replica
    car so long as he never referred to the Mini. He has always kept within
    these rules and was also told that the design of the Mini was not under
    copyright, so he was not in conflict there either.
    The legal points have never been resolved, since it would be extremely
    expensive to go to court against a company the size of BMW. As a result,
    Gerry simply stopped advertising and manufacturing the Stewart and
    Arden. Another company affected by this were - I think - called Rover
    Power, who sold tuning and rebuild parts for the Rover V8. They have had
    to change the name of their company to avoid the legal wrath of
    BMW/Rover.
    What surprises me most is that there are a number of other manufacturers
    selling copies of the Mini, with fibreglass bodyshells. They have
    obviously chosen to ignore any legal threat from BMW and continue to
    make and sell their kits. Perhaps the proprietors of those companies
    would be quite happy to fold the company if legal action ever appears.
    Gerry has a long background in the kit car industry and is very keen not
    to put himself, his family, his business or his customers in that
    position.
    I might point out that my relationship with Gerry is primarily as a
    customer, although I do deal with the web site for him. This did have a
    section on the S+A, but that is no longer referenced from within the
    site due to the product no longer being marketed. If you do an Alta
    Vista search on 'Stewart and Arden' you may find something somewhere...
    If you give Gerry a call, he may be able to put you in touch with
    purchases of the kit. Maybe one or more of these could be up for sale, I
    do not know. The engineering in this kit is at least as good as any
    other clone, more than likely better than any other Mini copy (biased
    view here). Alternatively, you may want to try and buy the project from
    Gerry and run the risk of legal action in making the kit available for
    sale.
    Just my little rant on the subject, knowing what I do of the car.
